Digital Nails Double Rainicorn

Hello Lovelies! About a month ago, I saw a review on one of my most favorite blogs, Accio Lacquer, and I completely flipped out when I saw Mishka's swatches of Digital Nails Adventure Time polishes. As soon as I saw the polishes, I wanted them ALL!!! However, I forced myself to narrow it down to two...which was very difficult, mind you. In this post, I'm going to share Double Rainicorn with you. I hope you like it as much as I do! ^.^

This is Digital Nails Double Rainicorn.
(I used two coats of Double Rainicorn over one coat of A England Camelot undies.)
Double Rainicorn is inspired by Lady Rainicorn from the Adventure Time series. Creator of Digital Nails, Raphaelle, describes Double Rainicorn as "a slightly lavender tinted jelly base that is PACKED, loaded I say with crazy amounts of equally crazy glitter. I wanted to convey her colors, of course, but more importantly, her awesome powers to change the color of objects with her magical horn."
This glitterbomb applied amazingly well. I used the dab method (place a dollop of Double Rainicorn in the center of my nail and spread it evenly out to the edges) and it worked perfectly!
This polish required zero fishing for glitters and I only needed to move around/place two of the large purple holo circles. Double Rainicorn is simply an outstanding polish. I used one coat of Gelous to smooth over the glitters and one coat of Seche Vite as topcoat and to speed the drying process.
Stunningly spectacular!
I am thrilled beyond words with this polish and I plan to add many more Digital Nails polishes to my growing polish collection. ^.^

"The combination of the HUGE lavender holo circles and the lavender holo bar glitters plus the insane amount of other glitters in lots of shapes and sizes make this polish scream "OMG RAINBOW! OMG, seriously, you guys - RAINBOW!" Hence the name, Double Rainicorn. I think Lady would approve." -Raphaelle

Thanks for stopping by tonight and as always,

Happy Lacquering! =)

Hot Mess Lacquers Blueish-American Princess

Hello Lovelies! I have been busy working on a set of posts for a trio of polishes from Hot Mess Lacquers and I'm excited to share this next one with you.  The first polish, Game Over, Mani! was gorgeous and this one is in the same category. Take a look.

This is Hot Mess Lacquers Blueish-American Princess.
(This mani has four coats of HM Blueish American Princess with no undies.)
Blueish-American Princess is "a very blue jelly polish with silver glass fleck."

Blueish-American Princess applied easily for me. I wanted to try it over a black base and I instantly loved it!
(This mani has one coat of HM Blueish American Princess with A England Camelot undies.)

I used one coat of Seche Vite as topcoat to seal this mani and to speed the drying time.
When I wore Blueish-American Princess for the day, I was bombarded with compliments. And...even I had a hard time keeping my eyes off of my nails! ^.^

Hot Mess Lacquers Game Over, Mani!

Hello Lovelies! Very recently I was sent three polishes from Hot Mess Lacquers and I was positively stunned when I saw them. All of them are very different from each other and definitely beautiful. In this post, I'd like to show you Game Over, Mani!

This is Hot Mess Lacquers Game Over, Mani!
Game Over, Mani! (inspired by James Cameron's Alien) is "a spectacular blend of teal, holo and yellow glitters and a bright teal shimmer with subtle purple shift in a black jelly base."
This polish applied smoothly and easily. I used three coats for this mani, however two would have been sufficient for full opacity. I was a little nervous when I put on my first coat because it seemed thin...until I put on coat two. THAT'S when the magic happened!
Pure Gorgeousness!!!
I used one coat of Seche Vite as topcoat to seal this mani and to speed the drying time.

I'm a huge fan of this polish. The deep color of the base works well with the pops of yellow and teal glitter. I also loved the teal shimmer! It was simply divine.

To purchase Game Over, Mani! and other Hot Mess Lacquers, you can visit the shop here. Also, make sure you head over and like Hot Mess Lacquers on FB to stay updated on restocks and new polish releases.

Have a gorgeous day and as always,

Indigo Bananas Chill Out

Hello Lovelies! A few days ago, I showed you Perpetual Dawn from Indigo Bananas. Well...I have one more beauty that Andrea sent my way and I think you are really going to like it. It's super versatile and can liven up just about every color you can think of!

This is Indigo Bananas Chill Out.
(I used one coat of Chill Out and two coat of CG Electric Beat as undies.)
Chill Out is "a mix of white and iridescent glitter of multiple shades and sizes, as well as holographic silver microglitter."
I love how soft and delicate Chill Out makes my nails look.
Chill Out slid across my nails effortlessly with no problems at all. I used one coat of Seche Vite as topcoat and my mani was complete!
This is the most perfect white/iridescent/silver flecked glitter topper...EVER! It's like Fairy Dust with a kick. ^.^

And ya know what the coolest part about this polish is?

It would look incredible over any color in my collection!

For this post, I'd like to show you Wine and Roses.

This is Liquid Sky Lacquer Wine and Roses.
Wine and Roses is "a burgandy holo thermal that lightens to a dusty rose in the warmth of the nail bed."
Wine and Roses applied easily and perfectly. Dry time was a breeze.

This is Wine and Roses when it is cool.
And this is Wine and Roses when it's warm.

Northern Star Polish Ocean Star and Esmeraude Bauble

Hello Lovelies! Northern Star Polish has sent me some pretties to show you and I have to say, I'm really happy with the quality of these polishes. This is my first time trying something from Northern Star Polish and after this experience, there is no doubt in my mind that I would love to add more to my collection in the near future.

This is Northern Star Polish Oceanic Star.
Ocean Star is a beautiful soft blue polish with a very light glitter combo of various sized hexes, pink microfine glitter, pink bar glitter, and pink and silver stars.
It took four coats to reach opacity (well worth every coat) and I used one coat of Seche Vite as topcoat and to speed drying time.

The beauty of this polish is that it layers perfectly and the glitters are very subtle. It makes Ocean Star pretty spectactular as far as I'm concerned. ^.^

This is Northern Star Polish Esmeraude Bauble.
I used two coats of CG Re-Fresh-Mint as undies.
Esmeraude Bauble works well as a fantastic green tinted topcoat. It is packed with various shaped yellow-green glitters, small green glitters, and square glitters. I LOVE how the yellow-green glitters can be completely understated, while at the same time, still remain the emphasis point when I look at the nail.
For this mani, I applied three coats of Esmeraude Bauble and one coat of Seche Vite as my topcoat and to help speed drying time.
Esmeraude Bauble would look fantastic over other colors as well, like a black or white creme.

To purchase Northern Star Polishes, you can visit the shop here. These two polishes are currently not listed, but there are many other gorgeous ones available. Also, make sure you head over and like Northern Star Polish on FB to stay updated on restocks and new polish releases.

Have a colorful evening and as always,

Happy Lacquering! =)

Indigo Bananas Perpetual Dawn

Hello Lovelies! I am super stoked to show you one of the beautiful polishes that Andrea from Indigo Bananas sent to me. It's a fantastic glitterbomb that simply blew me away! Take a look.

This is Indigo Bananas Perpetual Dawn.
Perpetual Dawn is "a heavy glitter polish - a mix of dark red & dark blue, rose holo glitter, and larger red, orange and yellow matte mix."
I used one coat of A England Camelot as undies. The black really makes the gorgeous red, orange, and yellow glitters POP!
Pure gorgeousness!
Perpetual Dawn applied easily for me. It was a touch thick, yet I had no problems getting the polish to cooperate for me. I used one coat of Gelous to smooth over the glitters and one coat of Seche Vite to seal the topcoat and speed drying.
This is definitely a glitter polish that I'm happy to call my own. It's a perfect blend of colors and it works well over my favorite base color (black)!

To purchase Perpetual Dawn and other Indigo Bananas polishes, visit Andrea's shop on etsy or here. Also, make sure you head over and like Indigo Bananas on FB to stay updated on restocks and new polish releases.

Elevation Polish Daisen

Hello Lovelies! I'm pretty convinced that spring may never reach Michigan this year. How about you? Has Spring sprung where you live? I sure do hope so!

Today I had a little fun like I did previously when I was playing around with Dollish Polish Spank You Very Much and A England Camelot. You can check out that post here if you'd like to see it. :) For this new one, I decided to show off my brand spanking new Elevation Polish purchase~the lovely Daisen. And boy, is she a lOOker! Wowzers!! Let me get to the pics and then I'll bend your ear some more.

I used A England Camelot as undies because I wanted this mani to LAST. And did it ever last! It survived 6 days of roadtripping and touring NYC with nary a chip~ANYWHERE!! (However, the moment I got home, my poor, innocent pinky nail (on my swatching hand) broke when I was unpacking...Boooooo!).

This is Elevation Polish Daisen.
Daisen is "a Pink super sheer base, Light pink and dark pink circle glitter in 2 sizes, copper circle glitter, multi-colored micro glitter."
I found the inspiration behind Daisen very fascinating and I thought maybe you would, too! "Inspiration: Part of the Japan collection. Daisen is a cute little volcano that has a rounded top. The inspiration was taken by the skyline bouncing off the top. It reflects pinks..purples and a hidden twinkle of copper.
I used one coat of Seche Vite as a topcoat and to speed dry time. The glitters are plentiful and require zero fishing.
I love how sparkly this looks!

To purchase Daisen (It is currently in stock right now), you can visit the shop here. Make sure you check out Elevation Polish on her blog. Trust me--you'll definitely WANT to visit. =)

Have a wonderful day and as always,

Happy Lacquering! =)
