Spring Challenge: The Easter Bunny

Hello Lovelies! For today on The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge, my task was to paint The Easter Bunny. I thought it would be fun to show you the steps that I took to create my bunnies, so I took pics between each one. ^.^

To create this mani, I used China Glaze Ga Ga for Green and KleanColor Holo Green for the base. For the bunny, I used Essie Blanc, and CG Liquid Leather and Dance Baby.

Here's my Easter Bunnies:
 1. China Glaze Ga Ga for Green and KleanColor Holo Green for the base
 2. Essie Blanc for bunny head
 3. Essie Blanc for bunny ears (used dotting tool)
  4. CG Liquid Leather for eyes and cheeks; Dance Baby for cheeks and inside ears (used dotting tool)
 5. Essie Blanc for light reflection in eyes (used toothpick)
 6. Top coat~ Seche Vite to smooth everything out! =)
That's it! Do you like seeing all of the step-by-step pictures or do you prefer me keeping things short and sweet (just the finished product)?

Spring Challenge: Buy Your Easter Eggs!

Hello Lovelies! For today on The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge, my task was to paint Your Easter Eggs! So, I got a little creative with the theme and I opted to make each of my fingernails represent an egg. I painted them white with Essie blanc and covered them with a dash of Seche Vite to seal the color.

Then...things got CRAZY!! I started the egg dying process by watercoloring each nail a different Spring color. For a step by step of how I do this, visit my Watercolor Wash Too post. I changed colors for every finger, giving the nails a skittlish watercolored egg effect. I LOVE the end result and I am thoroughly enjoying wearing my Easter Egg-o-cure. It's so unique and fun!

For the watercolor wash, I used China Glaze Dance Baby (pointer), Gothic Lolita (middle), Bahamian Escape (ring), and Ga Ga for Green (pinky). I added the green rhinestone for a bit of flair. ^.^

Purple Clouds

Hello Lovelies! I'm happy to announce that I have dabbled in another set of colors to create some beautiful new clouds to share with you. This time, I played in my pretty purple polishes!!

To create this mani, I used Orly Au Champagne, China Glaze Sweet Hook, and CG Gothic Lolita.

Here are my Purple Clouds:
I love this design and I already did this one in blue, if you'd like to check it out! I originally saw this on Jane's Nailside.blogspot and I asolutely adore the cloud-like effect that the polish layering creates. ^.^

I definitely plan on continuing my cloud color series and I will share more in the future with you! I hope you enjoyed and as always,
Happy Lacquering! =)

Spring Challenge: Spring Stripes

Hello Lovelies! For today on The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge, my task was to paint Spring Stripes. This one really got me...I redid it about 5x before I finally settled on the last design I came up with (and I wasn't completely happy with it, either). >.< I did, however, like it once I mattified it (which is becoming my theme as of late), so I will lead with my matte pics first!!

Here's my mattified Spring Stripes:
Here it is unmattified and shining:
Which do you personally prefer? Mattifiying your manis or shining top coats?

It's Dotted Line Time

Hello Lovelies! Are you enjoying this Spring as much as me? It has been absolutely gorgeous here in Michigan this week and today has been another amazingly sunny day. Yay! ^.^

For today's mani, I wanted to post something fun and bright. To create this design, I painted my base color China Glaze Pool Party first. Then I applied a stripe of CG Flying Dragon down the center of each nail. After that, I used a dotting tool to dot CG Pool Party down the stripes and then I put a CG Flying Dragon dot inside each of those dots. :)

Here is the finished mani:
Just for funsies, I decided to mattify the mani with a coat of Hard Candy
Matte-ly In Love. Check out how amazing it looks:
Do you like finishing your mani's with a coat of matte polish? What do you think of this one?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are all having a beautiful Spring day! And as always, Happy Lacquering! =)
