Teal Tuesday: Splatter Tealicure

Hello Lovelies! Teal Tuesdays is dedicated to celebrating the gorgeousness of all that is teal. This week, we are celebrating the Splatter Tealicure! I am finally getting the hang of this one~ I used an empty ball-point pen this time rather than a straw and it went much smoother.

To create my mani, I used Essie Blanc as my base color. To splatter, I had fun playing with China Glaze Sexy in the City, CG Sky High-Top, and CG Flying Dragon.

Here's my Splatter Tealicure:
Have you done a splatter mani lately? If so, do you have any good tips to share? ^.^

Thanks for stopping by and as always, Happy Lacquering! =)

  1. Oooooh!!! These are so pretty!! And the empty ball point pen is a great idea! I'm going to try it out next time. I did my first splatter recently (quite similar colour combo!) for the Girly Girl challenge, and the straw was far too wide. I reeeally had to struggle, but I was happy with the result - though not willing to take that struggle again in the near future. Now I'm better prepaired, thanks to you!! <3

  2. I think an easier thing to get than an empty ball point pen would be a juice box straw. MUCH narrower than a standard straw, but easier to get ahold of and to make sure it's clean. ^_^

  3. *facepalm* And I totally hit enter before saying how much I liked the manicure! My bad! Because I do like it. I think splatter manis are hard to get wrong, since they're *supposed* to be messy, so whether you like it or not comes down to color choices, and this purple and blue are just a riot together. It looks great!
